As in years past, we as the Trinity Alumni Association continue to sponsor and support many events that happen here on campus. The most important activities surround the focal point of this great school: the student.

Your Alumni Board supports the student in many ways. The annual Shamrock Awards Dinner celebrates the academic talents and accomplishments of the Trinity student. The Senior Breakfast is an event for our soon to be alumn members to enjoy the fruits of their time at Trinity. The Father Kevin Caster Annual Fund Appeal is a way for alumni to give financial treasure/support for Trinity tuition assistance programs. The annual Rockin19 freshman orientation experience is an avenue for alumni to spend some fun time with our new freshman class and future brother alumni. The Open House is an important moment for alumni to give their time back to the school and speak about their Trinity experience to prospective students and their parents.

Along with these activities, the Alumni Board sponsors many activities that we as members can enjoy: the Sandy Newman Golf Classic (formerly the Alumni Golf Scramble), the Shamrock Bass Classic, the Hall of Fame Banquet, the Honor Alumnus Award, the Honorary Alumni and class reunions.

As you can see, we are a very active association here at Trinity. These events don19t just happen. It takes a collective effort from our alumni through their TIME, TALENT and TREASURE. The most important accomplishment of the Alumni Board over the past year is providing an avenue for our association to reach out to more members through what we have named the Class Ambassador Program. I want to commend the past two Alumni Board chairs, Chris Tompkins ‘78 and Mark Plummer 1969, for having this insight.

We recently finalized what the Class Ambassador program is and what we will strive to do through this program.

CLASS AMBASSADOR PROGRAM MISSION STATEMENT:

The Class Ambassador program works in conjunction with the Alumni Board to increase the time and talent of fellow alumni. Our focus is to increase alumni awareness of, involvement in and support of Trinity through effective communication. The Class Ambassador Program is a mechanism for alumni to volunteer for current alumni-sponsored and school activities. Through this program we will provide a network that re-connects our alumni to Trinity High School.

OBJECTIVES:

. Increase our core of volunteers for current alumni-sponsored events
. Avenue for alumni to support school activities in need of assistance
. Ambassadors will serve on and/or chair a variety of Alumni Board committees
. Improve communication to alumni through the Alumni section of Trinity19s web site
. Avenue for ambassadors to become future board members

Our goal is to have three to five Class Ambassadors for each Trinity graduating class. Ambassadors will be on the front lines, volunteering for Trinity events and spreading good news about the school via e-mail and word-of-mouth.
